The Safety Product Platform (SPP) is a base technology that meets SC3 or SC4 (systematic capability) for use as building blocks to create safety controllers. The platform is customizable to fit specific safety system requirements. This platform offers two base Safety Controller options:

SC3Node

Consists of a Safety Controller and Universal IOs, combining hardware and software, designed to meet systematic capability of 3. SC3 Automation can integrate SC3Node with your system to implement Safety Functions to meet the requirements of SIL3 according to IEC61508:2010 and other derivates such as EN 5012x, Automotive: “ASIL D” according to ISO 26262:2018.

SC4Node

Consists of Safety Controllers and Universal IOs, combining hardware and software, designed to meet systematic capability of 4. SC3 Automation can integrate SC4Node with your system to implement any of your Safety Functions to meet the requirements of SIL4 according to EN50128:2011 -EN50129:2018,, EN 50657:2016, Machinery: “PLe” according to ISO 13849:2015 or AREMA section 17 CLASS 2 hardware for Vital functions.  

The Safety Product Platform provides an ideal solution for OEMs wanting to expand their safety product offerings or wanting to enter the safety market and add to their portfolios.  

The Safety Product Platform fits in various enclosures and endures harsh
environmental conditions as required for the various markets.  

The Safety Product Platform adds standalone safety capability to other systems or when building a full-size application.

SC3 Automation provides all necessary components, services, and expertise to customize the Safety Product Platform to meet your constraints and needs starting with the form factor. Our team provides services to assist in customizing the Safety Product Platform.

The Safety Product Platform has a flexible and modular approach. SC3 Automation can customize IO boards to fit your requirements.


Each SC3 IO point is modular. SC3 Automation can rearrange IO boards to meet your requirements.

The SC3 Automation configuration tool enables to configure, define, and program your safety application. The configuration tool also enables to download the safety application onto one or more distributed SC3Nodes, and then monitor the application.
